Job Summary:
The Heavy Equipment Operator will be responsible for operating various types of heavy machinery and equipment used in construction, manufacturing, or other industrial settings. This role requires precision, attention to safety guidelines, and the ability to work effectively under various conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols.
- Report any safety hazards or concerns to the supervisor immediately.
- Heavy Machine Operation:
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, or loaders according to project requirements.
- Conduct daily inspections and maintenance checks on equipment to ensure it is safe and in good working order.
- Troubleshooting:
- Identify and troubleshoot issues with machinery during operation.
- Collaborate with maintenance personnel to address technical problems.
- Cleaning, Maintenance, and Safety:
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery as directed.
- Keep work areas clean and organized.
- Keep accurate records of equipment usage and maintenance.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the supervisor immediately.
- Production Coordination:
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth flow of production.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and other operators.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a heavy equipment operator.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and operational procedures.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical condition.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- ability to perform repetitive tasks.
Working Conditions:
- Occasional flexibility in working hours.
- Occasional exposure to industrial hazards.
- Outdoor industrial sites that require work in various conditions and physical labor.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 48 per week
