Wakefield Residential is offering an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced full time Maintenance Technician with great technical and people skills to play a key role at The Lodge Apartment community in Marysville Washington.

The Lodge is a 686 unit garden style multi-family residential property where our Maintenance Technicians play an integral part of resident satisfaction. They are responsible for all preventive, corrective, and deferred maintenance plans.

What Does A Maintenance Technician's Day Look Like?

  • Clock in at 8am ready to join a fun and hardworking team who take pride in their work
  • Complete resident service requests such as appliance repair, electrical work, plumbing, and other general maintenance tasks, in timely manner with minimal call-backs
  • Prepare units for new residents by completing turns in a timely fashion. This could include anything from painting, spackling, and carpet/flooring to appliance repair/installation, pressure washing, swapping out lightbulbs/outlets, etc.
  • Enjoy an hour long lunch break
  • Ensure property and common areas are clean and looking their best
  • Work with and/or around paints, pool chemicals, and other potentially hazardous materials
  • Provide professional customer service for our residents at all times
  • Ensure that all materials, supplies, tools, and equipment are well taken care of through routine maintenance and inspections
  • Clock out at 5pm

Requirements

What Qualifications Are Required To Be Successful In This Role?

  • Minimum 1 year experience in a maintenance role REQUIRED
  • Ability to safely use and maintain hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment
  • Experience with basic plumbing, carpentry, painting, and appliance repair
  • Ability to function professionally and effectively in customer service atmosphere
  • Basic computer skills and strong written/oral communication
  • Available for emergency on-call duties one weekend per month

Physical Demands:

  • Must possess strength, stamina, and mobility to perform physical work (machines, climbing/descending ladders, various tools and equipment, operating motor vehicles)
  • Must be able to read printed materials and a computer screen and to distinguish colors in wiring
  • Must be capable of hearing and speaking to communicate in-person and over the telephone or radio
  • Must be capable of frequent walking in operational areas to identify problems or hazards
  • Must possess finger dexterity needed to access, enter, and retrieve data using a computer keyboard, calculator and/or to operate tools and equipment
  • Must be capable of bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and inspecting work sites
  • Must possess the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds or heavier with/without assistance and/or the use of proper equipment

Working Environment:

  • Maintenance Techs work in indoor and outdoor environments with moderate to loud noise levels
  • May work in cold and hot temperatures, or inclement weather conditions including snow, rain, wind
  • Exposure to chemicals, mechanical and electrical hazards, and hazardous physical substances and fumes.
  • Maintenance Techs will interact courteously with residents, guests and staff and must follow all applicable policies, and procedures

Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday, 8am-5pm with one hour lunch

Salary: Starting at $27-32 based on experience

Pay: $27.00 - $32.00 per hour
