Overview
The Oncology Clinical Pharmacist Specialist provides specialized pharmaceutical services to ensure safe, effective, appropriate, cost-effective medication therapies for patients presenting to the Oncology Infusion Center. The Pharmacist provides pharmaceutical services safely, accurately, and timely by reviewing physician's orders, dispensing drugs, counseling patients and families, and providing drug information to other health professionals, according to established procedures. The Pharmacist will participate in hospital committees, help develop order sets and therapeutic care plans, as well as provide oversight to the infusion center pharmacy satellite operations. The Oncology clinical pharmacist specialist position requires a close and effective working relationship with other departments in the health system.Department Description
