Role Description
This is a full-time on-site Executive Chef role located in Des Moines, IA. The Executive Chef will be responsible for overseeing the kitchen operations, creating menus, managing food preparation, ensuring quality and presentation of dishes, overseeing food costs and inventory management, supervising kitchen staff, and maintaining food safety standards. The Executive Chef is an integral role, overseeing several food outlets simultaneously: a 'la carte dining, banquets, poolside dining, and golf course dining, as well as special events. This role requires a multi-faceted and talented individual who is well versed in both upscale dining and casual fast dining. The ability to manage several outlets and several staff members is a must. Floor presence is required. An individual who is comfortable interacting with members in different settings is a must.
Qualifications
- Experience in menu creation, food preparation, and kitchen management
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience
- Creativity and innovation in culinary creations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Effective food cost and inventory management a must
- Experience in a club or fine dining setting is a plus
- Attention to banquet displays and experience with upscale banquet presentations preferred
- Ability to collaborate with other departments for events and special occasions
- Previous Executive Chef experience preferred
- Experience producing large scale banquets a must
Salary : $100,000 - $125,000
