This is highly responsible professional and administrative work managing the staff and operations of the Wakulla County Public Works and Revenue Collections Office. Duties include overseeing the everyday activities of the office as they relate to Public Works services including road & bridge, sewer services, fuel, fleet maintenance, and solid waste. Responsible for invoicing, receiving, recording, and depositing county revenues related to the provision of Public Works services, and ensuring that all relevant ordinances are enforced in an equitable manner. Work is performed under the supervision of the Director of the Road & Bridge department.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
REVENUE COLLECTIONSManages the activities of the Revenue and Collections Department and personnel. Establishes and monitors internal controls and procedures for the collection, safekeeping and transfer of revenue to the Clerk of the Court’s Finance Department. Supervises the billing and collection of: County Sewer (including oversight to sewer billing and collections performed by COS & PAWS.)County Fuel DepotCounty Septic Haulers Airport Maintenance FeesCounty Special AssessmentsCounty Fleet MaintenanceFlower’s Subdivision LiensPublic Services Tax (PST)ADMINISTRATIONManages the administrative responsibilities of the various departments within the Public Works division.
