What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dishwasher position at Wakyoto Japanese Restaurant?
Responsibilities:
- Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans using dishwashers or by hand
- Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, or utensils in a clean and orderly condition
- Place clean dishes, utensils, or cooking equipment in storage areas
- Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas
- Sweep or scrub floors
- Stock supplies such as food or utensils in serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, or salad bars
- Assist with food preparation and cooking as needed
- Clean food preparation areas and equipment before and after use
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a dishwasher in a restaurant, catering, hospitality, or hotel setting is preferred
- Ability to handle and clean various types of dishes and kitchen utensils
- Knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
