Job Summary
">We are seeking a skilled Yard Truck and City Driver to join our team. As a key member of our logistics operations, you will be responsible for safely operating a Yard Truck/tractor/trailer unit to transport trailers to designated locations while adhering to all regulations.
">The ideal candidate will have a valid state-issued driver's license and the ability to obtain a Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) within 6 months of job entry date. Additionally, they will have a minimum of 30 months experience working in a full-time Class A tractor/trailer driving position in the previous 3 years.
">In this role, you will maintain records, logs, and forms, including any forms required by the Department of Transportation (DOT). You will also be responsible for inspecting mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment of the tractor/trailer unit before, during, and after trips.
">Responsibilities
">- Operate a Yard Truck/tractor/trailer unit to transport trailers to designated locations safely and accurately.
">- Maintain records, logs, and forms, including DOT requirements.
">- Inspect and maintain the tractor/trailer unit's mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment.
">- Plan routes based on local and state traffic laws and local restrictions.
