About the Job:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced City Driver to join our team. As a City Driver, you will operate a tractor trailer delivering trailer loads of merchandise to stores. You will be responsible for maintaining records, logs, and forms, including any forms required by the Department of Transportation (DOT), local, state, and federal agencies.
Main Responsibilities:
- Operate tractor/trailer safely by adhering to all safety requirements.
- Inspect mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment of tractor/trailer unit before, during, and after trips.
- Maintain records by retaining load-related paperwork, electronic logs, and forms.
- Plan routes based on local and state traffic laws and local restrictions.
About Our Requirements:
- A valid state-issued driver's license is required.
- Off-property driving experience is necessary.
- You must obtain a Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) within 6 months of job entry date and maintain it while employed in this position.
- Interstate (Class A) Commercial Drivers License with Hazmat endorsement is required for City Driver positions.
