Job Summary
A Yard Truck Driver and City Driver will operate a tractor trailer to transport trailers safely to designated locations, adhering to all regulations. This includes maintaining records, logs, and forms, as well as ensuring the cleanliness and safety of the work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive tractor/trailers in a safe and correct manner by adhering to all regulations
- Transport trailers to appropriate destinations in an accurate and timely manner
- Maintain a clean work environment to ensure safety and compliance
- Operate tractor/trailer unit safely by adhering to all safety requirements
- Inspect mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment of tractor/trailer unit before, during, and after trips
- Plan routes based on local and state traffic laws and local restrictions
Requirements:
- Valid state-issued driver's license for Yard Driver position
- Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Hazmat endorsement for City Driver position
- Minimum 30 months experience working in a full-time Class A tractor/trailer driving position
- No more than two moving violations or serious traffic violations while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three years
