Duties and Responsibilities
- Yard Driver Operations:
- Drive tractor/trailers safely and correctly by adhering to regulations.
- Transport trailers to designated locations accurately and on time.
- Maintain a clean work environment to ensure safety and compliance.
- City Driver:
- Operate tractor/trailer safely and correctly.
- Inspect mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment before, during, and after trips.
- Maintain records by retaining load-related paperwork, electronic logs, and forms.
Minimum Qualifications
- Yard Driver and City Driver positions require:
- Valid state-issued driver's license.
- Obtain Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) within 6 months of job entry date for Yard Driver position.
- Interstate (Class A) Commercial Drivers License with Hazmat endorsement for City Driver position.
- Additional Requirements:
- No more than two moving violations while operating a personal or commercial motor vehicle in the last three years.
- No serious traffic violations while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three years.
