Job Summary:
A Yard Truck Driver operates a Yard Truck/ to transport trailers safely to designated locations, adhering to all regulations. Attention to detail is required while maintaining records, logs, and forms, including DOT requirements. The driver will also operate a tractor trailer delivering merchandise to stores as a City Driver.
Key Responsibilities for Yard Truck Driver and City Driver Include:
•Operating a tractor/trailer in a safe and correct manner by adhering to all regulations
•Transports trailers to appropriate destinations in an accurate and timely manner
•Maintains a clean work environment to ensure safety and compliance
•Ensure quality by maintaining records, logs, and forms, including any forms required by the Department of Transportation (DOT)
•Operate tractor/trailer unit safely by adhering to all safety requirements
Requirements:
•Valid state-issued driver's license for Yard Driver position
•Obtain Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) within 6 months of job entry date and maintain it while employed in this position
•Interstate (Class A) Commercial Drivers License with Hazmat endorsement for City Driver position or obtain HAZMAT endorsement within 120 calendar days of date of hire
•Minimum of 30 months experience working in a full-time Class A tractor/trailer driving position in the previous 3 years for City Driver position
