**Job Title:** Yard Truck Driver
**About the Job:
As a Yard Truck Driver at Walmart, you will be operating a Yard Truck to transport trailers safely to designated locations while adhering to all regulations. Your attention to detail is crucial in maintaining records, logs, and forms, including those required by the Department of Transportation (DOT). You may also operate a tractor trailer delivering trailer loads of merchandise to stores as a City Driver.
Responsibilities:
**Yard Driver Operations:**
- Drives tractor/trailers in a safe and correct manner.
- Transports trailers to appropriate destinations in an accurate and timely manner.
- Reports unsafe working conditions, damaged products, or improper procedures to management.
**City Driver:**
- Operates tractor/trailer safely by adhering to all safety requirements.
- Inspects mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment before, during, and after trips.
- Maintains records by retaining load-related paperwork, electronic logs, and forms.
Requirements:
**Minimum Qualifications for Both Positions:**
- Valid state-issued driver's license (for Yard Driver position)
- Obtain Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) within 6 months of job entry date (for Yard Driver position)
- Interstate (Class A) Commercial Drivers License with Hazmat endorsement (for City Driver position)
The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances.
