Job Description:
We are seeking experienced and skilled Yard Truck Drivers to join our team. As a Yard Truck Driver, you will be responsible for operating a yard truck to transport trailers safely to designated locations, adhering to all regulations.
You will maintain records, logs, and forms, including those required by the Department of Transportation (DOT). You will also operate a tractor trailer off facility property, delivering trailer loads of merchandise to stores.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive tractor/trailers in a safe and correct manner, adhering to all regulations.
- Transport trailers to appropriate destinations in an accurate and timely manner.
- Maintain records, logs, and forms, including those required by the Department of Transportation (DOT).
- Operate tractor/trailer in a safe and correct manner, maintaining a clean work environment to ensure safety and compliance.
- Inspect mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment to ensure proper functioning.
Requirements:
- Valid state-issued driver's license
- Obtain Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) within 6 months of job entry date and maintain it while employed in this position
- Minimum of 30 months experience working in a full-time Class A tractor/trailer driving position in the previous 3 years
- No more than two (2) moving violations while operating a personal or commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years
