What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bookkeeper/Accounting Clerk position at Walberg Family Pharmacies?
The Bookkeeper/Accounting Clerk provides bookkeeping, data entry, and clerical support to the Pharmacy Accounting and Leadership teams and reports directly to the Controller. The position focuses on bookkeeping and creating/maintaining accounting and various analytical reports/visualizations on a scheduled basis (e.g., daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually). The position supports the transactional processes for multiple locations/entities.
Responsibilities:
- Daily POS (Point of Sale) posting, reconciling, and reporting
- Process vendor invoices
- Process credit card purchases
- Process patient payments
- Sales tax reporting
- Answer phones and communications with other locations
- Monthly GL reconciliations
- Maintain various company spreadsheets/reports
- Cross training to support team as needed
- Special projects and other duties as assigned
Desired Qualifications:
- Previous experience in bookkeeping/accounting related field
- Previous experience in pharmacy operations helpful but not required
- Experience with Sage Intacct (preferred but not required)
- Proficiency with MS Office Applications
- Mid to advanced knowledge of MS Excel - formulas, macros, pivot tables and vlookups
- High level of attention to detail with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work in fast paced environment with high level of accuracy
