What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Controls Engineer position at Walco Electric?
Long established, internationally respected, high-technology company that specializes in the upgrading and automation of production machines and production line systems. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the person selected for this position will perform field troubleshooting, including programming, of control systems consisting of PLCs/HMIs/Motor Drives, as well as start-ups and upgrades.
Primary responsibilities include:
Minimum of 5 years’ experience doing electrical controls troubleshooting in a manufacturing related field. Engineering degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics or equal with solid knowledge of programmable logic controllers, HMIs, motor drives and control panel wiring. Must also have the skill to communicate professionally and effectively, both orally and written, with all appropriate parties. Must be highly organized, creative, thorough, detail oriented, and quality conscious.
Must be able to handle multiple tasks and produce work in an expedient and accurate manner.
