What are the responsibilities and job description for the Food and Beverage Staff position at Walden Ponds Golf Club?
Walden Ponds is a Public Golf Course and Event Center. We are located in Hamilton, Ohio. Our primary season is from April to mid October therefore this job is seasonal with options for part time and full time for the right candidate.
We are currently hiring for seasonal positions is our kitchen area. We are not a full service restaurant! In our Grill Room we serve light fare, i.e. sandwiches, hot dogs, burgers, snacks, beer, etc.
Responsibilities include:
* Serving Customers
* Money Handling
* Running the Cash Register
* Receiving orders and putting them away
* Stocking and restocking
* General daily cleaning which includes vacuuming, mopping, cleaning bathrooms, dishes, etc.
* Food preparation includes cooking, baking and food prep for outings.
* Light Bartending
* Set up/Break down for buffets, clean up
* Beverage Cart
Candidates MUST be at least 18 years old, have a valid driver's license, be friendly, motivated and eager to work, comfortable working with a cash register, organized, have flexibility with what you are able to work but weekends are a MUST, have great verbal communication skills and prompt. Because we serve alcohol, we are unable to hire candidates under the age of 18. Some heavy lifting on occasion therefore we would prefer candidates that do not have lifting restrictions.
Pay starts at $10.00 per hour. Because we make tips and gratuity on events you work, you will never make less than minimum wage.
Summary
As a Food and Beverage Staff member, you will be essential in delivering outstanding customer service and enhancing the dining experience for our guests. Reporting to the Food and Beverage Manager, your core responsibilities will include serving food and beverages, ensuring cleanliness, and assisting with food preparation. Your fine dining experience will elevate our service standards, while your relevant skills in catering, banquet service, and food handling will support our operations. A valid driver's license and strong communication skills are essential for this role, helping you effectively engage with both guests and team members.
