Outbound Supervisor

Position Overview:

The Outbound Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily activities of the Waldom warehouse's domestic and international shipping teams including implementing company policies and procedures. This role ensures that shipments are dispatched on time and in accordance with company standards, The Outbound Supervisor addresses shipping issues such as damaged products or delayed deliveries and collaborates with the Operations Director and the Inbound Supervisor to drive continual improvement within the facility.

Essential Job Functions:

• Daily Operations Supervision: Manage daily shipping operations by assigning tasks and ensuring completion in a timely and accurate manner, adhering to company policies and customer requirements.
• Employee Relations: Participate in the hiring process. Train new employees and provide ongoing training to existing staff as necessary. Foster effective employee relations by providing coaching, development, and motivation. Conduct annual written performance reviews.
• Safety Compliance: Enforce and promote safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
• ISO Standards: Ensure adherence to ISO standards and regulations within the department.
• Department Coordination: Work with other departments to guarantee timely order fulfillment and accurate inventory records.
• Policy Development: Create and implement policies and procedures aimed at enhancing efficiency, accuracy, and cost reduction.
• Leadership Interaction: Collaborate closely with departmental managers, supervisors, and the executive leadership team.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or a related field preferred OR at least 3 years of experience in shipping and logistics, with a minimum of 1 year in a supervisory role preferred.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Professional and effective communication skills.
• Knowledge of shipping procedures and regulations, including international shipping.
• Ability to manage a team while fostering a respectful and communicative work culture.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
• ERP experience

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift items up to 50 pounds
• Ability to alternate sitting, walking and standing up to 8 hours per day
• Working Conditions:
  • Warehouse environment with moderate noise from power industrial trucks

Salary : $50,000 - $70,000
