Construction Assistant

Waldrop Construction Company is a licensed homebuilder in the state of Alabama. Our company specializes in the construction of townhomes, and we're based in Tuscaloosa.

We are currently in search of a Construction Assistant who can help with the day to day tasks of homebuilding. Duties to include, but are not limited to:

Site Preparation & Clean-up:

• Clearing work areas of debris and obstacles.
• Digging trenches and holes for foundations and utilities.
• Preparing and leveling ground for construction.
• Loading and unloading construction materials (lumber, bricks, etc.).
• Cleaning up job sites at the end of each day.
• General lawn maintenance, including mowing and maintaining lawns.

General Labor:

• Performing a variety of tasks as directed by the supervisor.
• Using hand tools and power tools (with proper training).
• Maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
• Communicating with and accounting for the work of sub-contractors.

• Physical strength and stamina are essential for this physically demanding role.
• Safety is paramount. All employees must adhere to all safety regulations and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

We are a growing company and there is room for advancement. Pay is dependent on experience.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
