Dog Walker/Pet Sitter 6-12 Hours Per Week

Walk This Way Dogs is focused on giving each client specialized service specific to their pet care needs. The ideal candidate knows every dog is different and has a specific pet care routine. Providing stellar service is the core focus of Walk This Way Dogs and the ideal candidate should have experience in customer service, client development, and/or pet care skills. As part of the Walk This Way Dogs team you will be expected to treat each dog as your own- we are not just dog walkers, we are the highlight of these dogs' days. We are looking for a permanent employee with the opportunity to grow.

Position:

We are looking for a Walk Star dog walker to create and nurture long-term relationships with clients. Your focus is to maintain our long standing relationships through engagement and personalization. As our Walk Star and Pet Sitter, you will begin to understand each client is unique in their needs.

In this role, you should be an excellent communicator, hyper organized, and empathetic in order to grasp client needs. If you also have a background in customer service and knowledge of our industry, we’d love to meet you!

Commitment:

-1-3 days per week. 6-12 hours a week to start. Shifts are generally from 9-3 or 10-2.

-Pet sitting availability required

-Background in pet care is preferred, although not required. We provide training

To be considered:

-Must live in Tacoma WA

-Pet care, child care, or similar care taking experience

-Can pass clean driving record/background check

-Must take CPR/Emergency Pet Cert. class

-Strong communication/interpersonal skills

-The ability to walk 6 miles for up to 6 hours per day

-Reliable vehicle and smartphone
