JOB TITLE : Outpatient Business Office Clerk
REPORTS TO : Chief Operating Officer
JOB SUMMARY : Performs all secretarial, receptionist and clerical duties, including some billing.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Performs all secretarial, receptionist and clerical duties.
- Answer incoming phone calls. Take messages and direct them appropriately.
- Interview people coming into the office and direct them to the appropriate person.
- Compose correspondence, as necessary, for Counselors.
- Maintain a filing system.
- Should be knowledgeable and able to, in absence of counselors, arrange appointments with clients and counselors and complete inquiry form.
- Accountable for Petty Cash Fund, keeping it in balance and applying for reimbursement when needed.
- Responsible for assuring that proper authorization has been received and is accurate and on file for any clients admitted.
- Keep track of all payments collected and is responsible for deposit.
- Work with people in a friendly and caring manner.
- All other duties as assigned.
