Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. *Certification is not required, we are willing to train** The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care in various settings, including clinics, urgent care facilities, and Level II Trauma Centers. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, vital signs monitoring, and basic life support skills. The Medical Assistant will work closely with healthcare professionals to ensure efficient patient flow and support the delivery of exceptional medical services.
Duties
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Measure and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration.
- Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring comfort.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with medical coding standards.
- Administer medications as directed by physicians and monitor patient responses.
- Perform basic life support (BLS) as needed in emergency situations.
- Assist with the management of patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Provide support in geriatric care, ensuring that the specific needs of older adults are met.
- Facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers to enhance care coordination.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the clinic or medical facility.
Requirements:
- Proficient knowledge of medical terminology related to various specialties including geriatrics.
- Familiarity with urgent care protocols and procedures is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform basic life support (BLS) techniques effectively.
