Walker Healthforce is seeking a Senior Buyer for a healthcare client located in Irving, TX. This is a contract position.

JOB DESCRIPTION
- Creates and communicates end-of-day productivity reports.
- Processes purchase requests, ensuring timely and accurate order confirmations.
- Resolves order issues, including STAT requests, delivery delays, and vendor follow-ups.
- Manages substitute sourcing and engages vendors for alternatives when needed.
- Prevents aging unconfirmed orders by ensuring prompt vendor confirmations.
- Monitors and responds to regional email requests, ensuring SLA compliance.
- Manages product returns while minimizing freight costs.
- Resolves GHX exceptions and ensures accurate invoice matching.
- Utilizes Master Data Management (MDM) for data integrity updates.
- Researches discontinued items and resolves weekly expedite report issues.
- Assists with vendor report management and purchase line closures.
- Supports the Annual Human Tissue Certification Process.
- Trains new associates and participates in process improvement initiatives.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- 4 years of experience in related field required
- Good organizational skills and experience in collaborating with teams toward measured outcomes.
PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum 1 – 2 years of purchasing experience preferred
