Walker Healthforce is seeking a Lab Technologist for a healthcare client located in Rochester, MN. This is a contract position.

JOB DESCRIPTION
- Perform clinical analyses on various specimen types using manual and automated techniques.
- Operate and maintain laboratory instrumentation, ensuring optimal functionality and calibration.
- Troubleshoot assay and instrument issues; assist in interpreting and evaluating results.
- Report test outcomes accurately and efficiently using multiple computer systems.
- Participate in operational support activities to ensure smooth testing processes.
- Strictly follow all laboratory safety and infection control protocols.
- Collaborate with lab colleagues, providers, and other staff to support timely and accurate testing services.
- May be required to assist in specimen collection and other support roles as needed.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a Human Biological Science.
- Proven experience operating and troubleshooting laboratory instruments and assay systems, including interpreting test outcomes and supporting workflow optimization.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to consistently deliver accurate results under time constraints while multitasking in a fast-paced lab environment.
- Effective communicator with excellent teamwork and organizational skills.
- Flexible with work assignments, including schedule changes, off-shifts, weekends, holidays, and on-call responsibilities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively within a team, combined with the ability to use multiple computer systems to retrieve and report results.
