Walker Healthforce is seeking a Lab Technologist for a healthcare client located in Rochester, MN. This is a contract position.
START DATE: ASAP

JOB DESCRIPTION
- Isolate and manipulate PBMCs from patient blood specimens under sterile conditions in a BioSafety Cabinet
- Perform cell freezing, thawing, and plating for clinical assay workflows
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation and assays
- Use manual pipets with precision and dexterity
- Work with multiple laboratory information systems and clinical data platforms
- Assist in interpreting test results and ensure result accuracy and turnaround time
- Strictly follow lab safety protocols for handling infectious materials and chemicals
- Learn and utilize various software systems required for clinical technologist duties
- Collaborate with colleagues and participate in scheduling adjustments as needed
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a Human Biological Science
- Prior experience in:
- Lab instrumentation and assay troubleshooting
- Producing accurate results under time constraints
- Fast-paced, regulated clinical laboratory settings
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with operation and troubleshooting of laboratory instrumentation
- Background in assay systems – handling, freezing, thawing, and plating of cells for clinical assays
- Proven ability to produce accurate results under time constraints, multi-task efficiently, and adapt to fast-paced environments
- Willingness to accommodate off-shift work, holiday coverage, or scheduling flexibility if needed
