Walker Healthforce is seeking a Nursing Staffing Scheduler for a healthcare client located in Detroit, MI. This is a contract opportunity.
START DATE: ASAP

JOB DESCRIPTION
- Serve as the primary contact for scheduling between nurses, float pool (600 staff), and hospital units
- Use the UKG Workforce system to manage schedules, shifts, and staffing adjustments
- Communicate with nursing leaders and staff to coordinate last-minute shift changes and ensure adequate coverage
- Perform data entry, basic reporting, and use Microsoft Office to support scheduling operations
- Resolve scheduling conflicts professionally and efficiently
- Provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
- Ensure compliance with internal scheduling policies and maintain accurate staffing records
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 1 year of experience in hospital staffing and scheduling
- At least 1 year of experience using UKG Workforce (formerly Kronos)
- Experience working with nurses and float pool teams in a healthcare environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic report development
- Excellent customer service skills
PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Prior experience in a staffing office for a large hospital or healthcare system
- Knowledge of clinical staffing models and scheduling best practices
- Familiarity with healthcare operations or nursing administration
