Walker Healthforce is seeking a Patient Financial Specialist for a healthcare client located in Irving, TX. This is a contract position.
START DATE: ASAP

JOB DESCRIPTION
- Resolve patient accounts and respond to billing inquiries from payors and patients
- Ensure compliance with government and payer billing guidelines
- Document account activity and report issues or trends to leadership
- Review and correct claim edits, rejections, and RTPs; resubmit as needed
- Follow Medicare billing guidelines and assist with Redeterminations, Reopenings, and appeals
- Collect balances, resolve underpayments, and recommend process improvements
- Coordinate with vendors on collections, audit remittances, and track performance metrics
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Knowledge and Experience with Medicare & Medicaid Billing Processes
- Strong Communication Skills (Written and Verbal)
- Familiarity with Medicare/Medicaid billing, UB-04 and HCFA 1500 forms
PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree
- 1–3 years of experience
- Experience working within a multi-facility hospital business office environment
- Background with CMS regulations and terminology
