Description
Summary of position: Provide a variety of clinical services, including individual, group, family, sibling, and duo therapy. Engage youth in community-based activities and programming to develop life skills. Provide case management services to ITR/STR youth, as assigned. Responsible for ongoing assessment, treatment planning, implementation of interventions, case management, development of all treatment documents within specified timeframes and discharge planning. Ability to be flexible, work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, and the ability to respond to crisis as needed. Must be committed to child centered, family focused, culturally competent care using Walker supported Evidence Based Practices. Clients are ages 5-13, all genders/gender identities, and come from all over the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Education and Licensure
Required: Candidate must possess a Master’s degree in a relevant discipline such as: Psychology, Counseling Psychology or Social Work.
Applicable Licensure: LCSW, LICSW, LMFT, LMHC
Preferred: Applicable Licensure: LCSW, LICSW, LMFT, LMHC
Independent Licensure
Experience
Required: Experience in therapeutic treatment with latency aged children and their families, proficiency in use of computer systems for clinical information management, excellent oral and written communication skills, and demonstrated ability to produce written reports in a timely manner.
Preferred: Experience with assessment, goal focused treatment planning, Rehab Options documentation standards, and evidence-based treatment modalities (such as: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, DBT, ARC). Previous experience working with youth with emotional and behavioral challenges, their family systems, and state agencies.

Required:
Ability to meet deadlines and follow through with multiple projects simultaneously.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must be able to sit at work station for prolonged periods of time, consistent with OSHA suggestions and requirements.
Must have the ability to access different building locations, equipment, mailboxes, etc.
Must have ability to lift packages up to 10 pounds.
Must be able to fulfill all Walker required trainings, including certification in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) and Medication Administration Program (MAP).
Valid driver’s license to drive in Massachusetts and Proof of valid auto insurance with the following coverage:
$100,000 injury per person
$300,000 injury per accident
$5,000 property damage
Preferred: Fluency in Spanish and/or additional language capacity
Essential functions:
1.Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide clinical case management to ITR/STR youth.
2. Assessment of child and family strengths and needs using CANS and CAFAS.
3. Development and implementation of goal focused treatment plans based on assessment.
4. Consistent communication with family and all collaterals including state agencies, and outside providers.
5. Oversight and maintenance of youth record including all documentation to be completed as required based on licensing and Rehab Options standards.
6. Provide individual, family, and/or group therapy for youth as indicated through assessment and utilizing evidence-based treatment modalities with clear, measurable goals. It should be noted that children come from all over Massachusetts and treatment may take place on the Needham Campus, in a youth’s home, or at another community location as deemed appropriate. Transportation of youth and family members as required to facilitate appropriate treatment.
7. Create, maintain, and regularly present group therapy curriculum.
8. Plan and provide regular opportunities for youth to spend time in the community developing life skills.
9. Lead or co-lead issue oriented or didactic therapy groups for children or parents regularly.
10. Attend bi-weekly supervision, all required staff meetings, trainings, and clinical multi-disciplinary team meetings.
11. Responsible for preparing for and facilitating all youth-specific treatment meetings held at Walker. In addition, attending all required external meetings as scheduled by state agencies and funding sources and as needed.
12. Provide in-the-moment coaching to staff and floor coverage, as needed.
13. Complete MAP training and maintain certification in accordance with standards.
14. On-call coverage, as assigned.
15. All other duties, as assigned.
Supervision to be received: Bi-Weekly supervision by Director of Ain ITR/STR; Regular participation in clinical group supervision and clinical consults
Supervision to be exercised: Supervision of interns as assigned
