Position: Full Time/SalariedLicensed Outpatient Clinician
Department: Walker Community Counseling
Location: Needham, Braintree, Roxbury, and/or a combination, as assigned. May provide services in schools and/or via telehealth, as assigned.
Hours: M-F, variable hours. Flexible and evening hours required.
Summary of position:
Provide a variety of clinical services, including individual, group, and family therapy. Responsible for ongoing assessment, treatment planning, implementation of interventions, case management, and development of all treatment documents within specified timeframes and discharge planning. Ability to be flexible, work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, and the ability to respond to crisis as needed. Must be committed to child centered, family focused, culturally competent care using Walker supported Evidence Based Practices.
Education and Licensure
· Required:
o Candidate must possess a Master's degree in a relevant discipline such as: Psychology, Counseling Psychology or Social Work.
o Independent Licensure preferred and required within 2 years of full time employment: LICSW, LMFT, or LMHC.
Experience
- Required:
- Experience providing outpatient services for children, adolescents, and families with behavioral health needs and their families.
- Proficiency in use of computer systems for clinical information management.
- Demonstrated ability to produce written reports in a timely manner.
- Preferred:
- Experience in outpatient treatment preferred.
- Experience with strength-based assessment and development of treatment plans based on clear clinical formulations and knowledge of collateral systems.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team structure.
- Demonstrated creativity, cultural curiosity, and flexibility in responding to a variety of family, home, and community environments.
Abilities
· Required:
o Ability to meet deadlines and follow through with multiple projects simultaneously.
o Ability to respond to and follow through with requests professionally.
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
o Must be able to sit at work station for prolonged periods of time, consistent with OSHA suggestions and requirements.
o Must have the ability to access different building locations, equipment, mailboxes, etc.
o Must have ability to access meetings and sessions in the community as necessary.
o Must have ability to lift packages up to 10 pounds.
· Preferred:
o Bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply (but not required).
Essential functions:
- Provide individual, family, and group therapy to children, adolescents and adults.
- Complete intake and diagnostic assessments according to the ICD-10 diagnostic codes.
- Complete risk assessment and mental status on all clients at intake and throughout treatment.
- Complete all necessary clinical documentation for clients.
- Complete referrals for other services as needed.
- Responsible for obtaining authorizations for clients.
- Maintain adherence to outpatient contracts.
- Consult with collaterals and other providers for continuity of care.
- Attend group supervision and staff meetings.
- Act as a liaison between Walker Community Counseling and Community Agencies.
11. All other duties, as assigned .
