Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will support attorney in various legal matters, primarily civil litigation, this firm operates out of several different courts, knowledge of filing systems such as ecr and turbo court is a must. This role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and a commitment to providing exceptional administrative support in a fast-paced legal environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist attorney in preparing legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, and motions.
- Conduct interviews with clients to gather necessary information for case preparation.
- Organize and maintain case files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
- Perform legal research to support case strategies and provide relevant information.
- Manage schedules, appointments, and deadlines for attorneys.
- Communicate with clients regarding case updates and required documentation.
- Utilize software for billing and case management tasks.
- Collaborate with team members on project management tasks related to ongoing cases.

Requirements
- Proven experience as a Legal Assistant or in a similar administrative role within a legal setting.
- Familiarity with various areas of law such as civil litigation
- Strong interviewing skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
