This position is responsible for maintaining lawn care and landscaping of grounds inclusive of plowing, shoveling, sweeping, mowing, weeding, planting, trimming, raking and removal of garbage and debris. Responsible for preventive maintenance, repairing, replacing, and maintaining all facilities grounds equipment. Assist with basic repair of items such as plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems. Essential Functions:
- Maintain a high level of safety awareness, follow all safety procedures, and ensure a clean and safe work environment for all guests and employees.
- Responsible for the daily cleaning and removing of trash from the grounds and trash cans around the property.
- Responsible for maintaining lawn care and landscaping of grounds inclusive of plowing, shoveling, sweeping, mowing, weeding, planting, trimming, raking and removal of garbage and debris.
- Assist with the general maintenance of all facilities on property to include painting, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems.
- Maintain lawns by mulching, aerating, weeding, grubbing, removing thatch, and trimming and edging around flower beds, sidewalks, and walls.
- Mix, spray, and/or spread fertilizers, herbicides, or insecticides onto grass, shrubs, and trees using a hand or automatic sprayer or spreader.
- Provide proper maintenance of sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, fountains, planters, and other grounds features.
- Shovel and plow snow from sidewalks, driveways, and parking lots. Spread salt in those areas using hand-held, automatic, and vehicle-equipped spreaders.
- Perform preventive maintenance, repair, and replacement work on grounds equipment.
- Assure an environment which emphasizes cooperation, communication, and teamwork with all departments.
Required:
- Basic knowledge of lawn care and landscaping. Ability to properly and safely operate trash compactor, tractor, mowers, truck with snow plow, salter, skid loader, other utility vehicles, and general lawn care equipment.
- Basic knowledge and ability to operate various types of hand tools, power tools, ladders, safety equipment, man lift, fork lift, and machinery that relate to the function of a maintenance shop. Proper use of chemicals used for cleaning and in maintenance.
- Answer all calls promptly and maintain politeness. Pay attention to the needs of employees and guest at all times.
- Knowledge of personal protective equipment, OSHA required standards, SDS, and safety requirements.
- Able to handle exposure to inclement weather and extreme hot/cold temperatures.
Schedule:
Full-Time; varies based on events and holidays and includes days, nights and weekends

Starts at $18.50/hr (Includes Premium Pay)
