Summary:
The General Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of warehouse operations at the facility. Provide direction and motivation to the warehouse management team to achieve maximum customer satisfaction balanced with operational cost efficiency.

- Meet or exceed all customer requirements for on-time, complete shipments with excellent service and quick resolution of customer complaints.
- Ensure flow of operations is maintained through directing the work of employees, apportioning work, communicating production status, and resolving problems.
- Ensure that the warehouse is properly staffed with capable people in all functions and that team members’ skills are continually developed and improved.
- Promote a positive health and safety culture on site.
- Implement lean best practices such as 5S scorecards, scheduling boards, visual management, and KPI Red Wall.
- Provide direction for quality initiatives, process change initiatives, and other Six Sigma initiatives to improve service quality, reduce costs and eliminate waste.
- Develop annual budget and site P&L, and control spending to ensure performance to both expense and revenue targets.
- Oversee customer billing and invoicing and resolution of adjustments and discrepancies.
- Ability to hold the team to high standards and accountability.
- Ability to set up planning and / or goals and ability to monitor through completion.
- Ability to operate a forklift is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of all financials associated with the site budgets and P&L.
- An understanding of the HR and Payroll policies.

Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a leadership role within a distribution facility.
- Expertise with capacity planning and forecasting
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook.
- Proven problem-solving skills.
- Budget, Forecasting and P&L experience
- Setup and accurate billing experience
