We are currently seeking a highly motivated individual for a Commercial Lines Account Manager to join our St. Louis team. As an Account Manager you will be responsible for the day-to-day account management of commercial client accounts.

When you join us, we expect you to :

  • Foster and maintain excellent relationships with clients and prospects through regular follow-up, accurate and timely quotations, and general account support.
  • Anticipate, respond to, and follow up on all existing client needs.
  • Read and verify policies for accuracy.
  • Analyze coverages and make recommendations of additional coverages that may benefit clients.
  • Prepare new business and renewal submissions to be forwarded to insurance carriers for quoting or quoted via various carrier systems.
  • Support and prepare clients for renewal and retention and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Compare quotes & coverages, prepare a marketing spreadsheet with the best options for the customer.
  • Prepare new lines of business for existing clients and renewal proposals when needed.
  • Confer with customers by telephone or in person in order to provide information about products and services .
  • Read policy contracts to ensure the customer has adequate coverage.
  • Determine charges for services requested, collect deposits or payments, and / or arrange for billing.
  • Keep records of customer interactions and transactions, recording details of inquiries, complaints, and comments, as well as actions taken utilizing the agency management system.
  • Learn and maintain familiarity with each insurance carrier ’ s product lines, underwriting process & website .
  • Issue certificates of liability .
  • Order changes and review endorsements for accuracy.
  • Review client audits, verify and facilitate corrections as needed and maintain A / R and billing.
  • Maintain CE, participate in ongoing education and keep informed regarding industry information, new product information, legislation, coverages, and technology to continuously improve knowledge and performance.
  • Observe and comply with all policies and procedures .
  • What you’ll bring to our team :

  • A minimum of 2 years commercial lines account management experience.
  • An active Missouri Property & Casualty Insurance License.
  • Ability to demonstrate strong knowledge of insurance products and usages, rating procedures, underwriting procedures, coverages, and industry operations to effectively secure new business and maintain an existing client base.
  • Great people-oriented, customer-focused, and professionally assertive skills
  • Possess outstanding organizational skills with an ability to complete difficult assignments without supervision, sound business judgment, strong decision making, and superior written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to be creative, flexible, and ability to quickly diagnose critical issues
  • Have excellent time management stills, thrive in a team environment, and have technology and computer proficiency including agency management systems and Microsoft Office.
