Job Summary
As an Appliance Service Technician, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the timely and efficient diagnosing, repairing, and maintenance of various types of appliances. This is a hands-on role that requires strong technical skills and excellent customer service abilities. Duties and Responsibilities:
Applies knowledge and abilities to perform technical repairs according to schedule.
Diagnoses and troubleshoots problems with the appropriate equipment to determine the most efficient course of action.
Estimates repair costs and obtains authorization prior to beginning work for all repairs.
Communicate continuously with office & customers
Completes repairs in a timely manner.
Travels to customer locations to complete repairs as directed.
Recommends and explains additional repairs as appropriate.
Finalizes repair order information to include pricing information.
Contacts techline via telephone/ email, to find repair parts, components and information as needed while working on the appliances.
Communicates to customers in a clear manner the nature of service needed and cost of parts and labor.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Valid Driver's License with a clean record
Must be at least 18 years of age
Proficiency to navigate tablet-based technology
The ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds on a repetitive basis, and up to 100 pounds on an occasional basis without assistance, and the physical ability to perform strenuous work under varied circumstances
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
