Position Status: Full-Time, Salary, Overtime Exempt
Position Summary
The Estimator is responsible for completing material take-offs, generating associated purchase orders for house files, maintaining specifications for standard and custom model plans and providing administrative support to the Production team.
Key Responsibilities

Builder MT Software Program
· Prepare accurate purchase orders for all models, elevations and options.
· Purchase orders to include all relevant information required by sub-trades and on-site construction team to construct homes in a timely, efficient manner.
· Issue PO’s as required in a timely and accurate manner.
· Provide support to Construction department by issuing VPO’s in a timely manner
· Create and maintain accurate assemblies
· Maintain/update estimates/pricing for standard floor plans, options and elevations.
· Pricing function – elevations, custom & design center, database management, assembly creation, invoice review for variances on PO’s, error correction by updating assemblies, special projects (MIS)
· Assist in maintaining options price lists for Sales & Designs
Cost Efficiency
· Investigate relevant cost-effective solutions
· Identify recurring cost discrepancies by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information
· Develop innovative ways to ensure estimating functions are running efficiently
· Report all take off changes to Purchasing & Estimating Manager for review of sales prices and margins.
Administration
· Support Sales and Designs by providing timely responses to requests for pricing
· Maintain positive relationships with subcontractors and material vendors.
· Data input and data maintenance, as required.
· Generate sound documentation for scope of work assumed in estimates.
· Other admin duties as assigned

Experience, Education & Certifications Required
· 0-5 years estimating/construction experience
· Post-secondary Certificate or Diploma in Estimating, Architectural Technology or Construction from an accredited institution (preferred but not required)

Pay: $84,809.00 - $100,000.00 per year
