What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Control Manager position at Walkin Technologies LLC?
Position Overview:
As a Production Control Manager, you will play a critical role in planning, scheduling, and overseeing production activities. You will collaborate with various departments to ensure that production runs smoothly and meets quality standards and deadlines. Must be detail oriented, quick to reach, tech savvy and demands ERP cleanliness and excesses from their team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with our ERP to develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer demands and optimize workflow.
- Hold operators accountable to all operations and clocking in to jobs
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with purchasing to ensure adequate materials are available.
- Analyze production data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
- Clear out any paused jobs
- Collaborate with engineering, quality assurance, and logistics teams to resolve production
- issues.
- Implement and maintain production control systems and processes.
- Prepare regular reports on production performance and inventory status for management.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards throughout the production process.
- Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer demands and optimize workflow.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
- 2 years of experience in production control or manufacturing operations.
- Needs to be able to read prints ( current needs are going over prints and making sure all information is provided to operator)
- Needs to be able to Pull BOM’s and cross reference to prints ( Match materials in Fulcrum to prints provided to operator)
- Be able to tell difference between material, ( SCH 10, SCH40, SS, CRS, hardware: SS, Galvanized, Yellow Zinc Plated)
- Be able to communicate with engineering regarding miss match prints and BOM. ( Missing material once found in prints)
- Be able to Navigate thru MRP to find updates per project
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in production planning software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles is a plus.
