Project Manager - Construction

Construction Project Manager

The Project Manager has the responsibility of the estimating, planning, procurement, scheduling and execution of a project. The Project Manager must be a flexible and adaptable team-player, as well as have strong communication and client service skills. The Project Manager reports to the Director of Operations.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

Establish & maintain relationship with Owner, Architect, Engineers & Subcontractors

Estimating the project;

Management of project permit process;

Preparations and procurement of all subcontractors & vendors;

Developing & updating the construction schedule based on project team input, subcontractor progress and materials delivery;

Produce 3-week look ahead and other detailed short-term schedules as needed;

Receive, review, forward and track status of submittals;

Initiate, prepare, review, track and distribute RFIs;

Change management systems, including soliciting, receiving, reviewing, and preparing quotations and change orders;

Preparation of monthly owner pay applications;

Review & approve subcontractor pay applications;

Preparation of monthly owner project status reports, as required;

Leads & schedules project meetings;

Manages the completion of project close-out;

Communicate and enforce Health and Safety Program

Job Skills & Abilities Guidelines:

Computer knowledge and efficiency, including Microsoft Office products;

Knowledge of MS Project or Primavera;

Broad understanding of industry;

Strong written and verbal communication skills;

Basic math/accounting skills;

Functions effectively as part of a team;

Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times;

Ability to understand and follow directions;

Good time management skills and organizational skills;

Ability to read drawings and specifications;

Must have a valid driver’s license and pass a pre-employment drug screen

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree – Construction Management preferred

Pay: $102,820.00 - $112,222.00 per year
