Responsibilities
- Manage scheduling for appointments, ensuring optimal use of time for both patients and providers.
- Serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing excellent customer service and addressing inquiries professionally.
- Operate phone systems to handle incoming calls, take messages, and direct calls to appropriate personnel.
- Maintain accurate patient records and assist with data entry using computerized systems such as Athenahealth.
- Process insurance information, including Medicare details, to facilitate billing and patient care.
- Assist in the daily operations of the Clinical office, ensuring compliance with health regulations.
- Support other administrative tasks as needed to enhance office efficiency.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a clinical office receptionist or in a similar role is preferred.
- Proficiency in medical scheduling and familiarity with healthcare terminology is essential.
- Strong computer skills with experience in electronic health record (EHR) systems, particularly iCanotes.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple priorities effectively.
