Qualifications
Two-year experience in working with the elderly is preferable or have basic knowledge/ understanding regarding the overall needs of the elderly population in a group setting. It is suggested that you complete and maintain a certified course in Standard First Aid Safety, including instruction in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). This position requires each staff member to have a WA State Food Worker Card, a TB test and a Background check.
Duties and responsibilities
1. Assist the Activity coordinator with activities and development of the activity schedule of
events.
2. Assist and help participants with projects/participation, in crafts and/or activities; insuring
the participant attempts project.
3. Provide companionship and social interaction with participants.
4. Provide support with Activities of Daily Living (ADL’s) such as: walking/ambulation,
providing tools to assist client in eating as independently as possible. Helping the participant
find their way and meeting their needs while at center.
5. Assist with receiving participant when they arrive and leave the ADC.
6. Assist with other duties as defined by the ADC Program Manager (i.e. prep work, clean-up,
office work, keep the room organized, etc.)
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
