Job Description
To oversee the overall operation of the program, as lead person in matters of personnel, budgets, goals and objectives, program performance and reports. Coordinate day to day operation of the adult day center program.
The Adult Day Services director conducts the day to day management and coordination functions of communication with staff, participants, families, caregivers, community agencies and the media.
· Oversee all aspects of the program ensuring all policies and procedures are being enforced and up to date with current WAC codes.
· Intake and assessments of all new and returning participants of the program.
· Develop and implement program goals and objectives.
· Staff ADS with hired/paid staff, volunteers and community agency placements.
· Provide and maintain a clean environment for participants and staff.
· Ensure participant activities are sufficient and appropriate for each individual.
· Write yearly RFP for funding, prepare for program monitoring and assessments.
· Arrange for orientation and in-service training for staff and volunteers.
(Required quarterly/ 4x/year)
· Manage team to facilitate time and expertise in assisting participants and families to achieve optimal functioning.
· Develop and maintain record keeping systems of participants (by funding source) and staff for monitoring.
· Grow relationships with outside entities to facilitate program growth.
· Perform outreach and marketing for a continued flow of participants.
· Public speaking whenever possible to promote the program.
· Develop fundraising to assists budget.
· Develop and maintain ADS advisory committee quarterly or monthly meetings.
· Coordinate with Senior Center Executive Director and accountant.
· Attend meetings as required (monthly board meetings)
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Applicants must have a master's degree and one year of supervisory experience in health or social services (full-time equivalent), or a bachelor's degree and two years of supervisory experience in a social or health service setting. The degree may be in nursing.
· TB test
· CPR/fist aid
· State of WA Food and beverage services workers permit.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
