Job Title: Circulation Customer Service Representative (CSR)
Reports to: Lead Customer Service Representative
Department: Circulation
FLSA/Exempt Status: Hourly/Non-exempt
Hours per Week: PT 25 hrs.
General Summary of Responsibilities
Assist customers over the telephone and in person and performs clerical functions for the Circulation Department.
Essential Job Functions
1. Provide professional and courteous customer service at all times.
2. Accept and enter information into the computer related to stops, starts, complaints and shortages.
3. Perform clerical duties, including taking messages accurately and communicating
information requiring follow-up.
4. Prepare reports and maintain records relating to circulation department pay-by-mail accounts including batching and billing.
5. Answer telephones and serve counter customers, which may involve receiving cash and writing receipts.
6. Count and account for rack money and prepare related reports as needed.
7. Prepare, process and distribute press run and other designated computer jobs as necessary.
8. Handle NSF check processing.
9. Cross train in certain duties of other CSR’s in order to serve as fill-in during vacations, sick leave and alternative shifts.

well modulated and pleasant voice and showing patience and courtesy.
2. Ability to develop harmonious working relationships with supervisors, managers, other
employees, and the general public.

frequently from one job detail to another.
4. Knowledge of business English, spelling, and office methods and procedures.

Job Requirements
Experience
- At least one year of general office work and/or successful completion of related course work.
- At least one year of customer service experience
Skills and Abilities / Lifting Requirements
- Skill in use of computer with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Skill in use of 10-key
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
- Ability to organize work tasks in order of priority.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
Minimum Education
- Highschool Diploma or GED

Must be able to work without immediate supervision and to make correct application of policies and procedures independently.

Pressure of Work
Handles inbound phone volumes, email contacts, voice messages and outbound calls and emails that are constant during business hours. Meets daily deadlines for pressruns, subscriber payment processing. Operates to help distributors meet daily delivery deadlines.

Job is performed within the WWUB office building.
