POSITION SUMMARY Experienced CDL driver to serve on-call transportation needs of Walla Walla University. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Driver must be Safe, courteous, professional and an ambassador for Walla Walla University.
- Punctual at all times.
- Driving / operating vehicles, and speaking / reading / understanding English. Ability to read and write at level necessary to successfully perform the required duties.
- Push / pull up to 100 lbs. Lift / carry up to 40 lbs.
- Walking / running, moving from one location to another, standing, sitting, seeing / vision, and hearing.
- Using legs / feet to control equipment.
- Indoor and outdoor work. Wet / dry conditions may be present as well as fluctuations in cold / heat temperatures.
- customer satisfaction, going out of their way to be helpful and pleasant, making it easy as possible on the customer rather than our department or the University.
- Being receptive to feedback, willing to learn, embracing continuous improvement.
- Demonstrating strong attention to detail, honoring University policies and all regulatory requirements, and maintaining confidentiality. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES"Non-essential" If a duty takes up less than 5% of the employees' time and is not viewed as a critical function it is likely considered "non-essential" within the context of the ADA. These duties could be reassigned to another employee in order to allow a disabled individual to hold the position.

- Licenses / Certifications : CDL
- Ability to pass a drug screen.
- Possession of a safe driving record.
- Knowledge of basic first aid practices, procedures and techniques.
- Ability to understand and carry out both oral and written instructions in an independent manner.
- Must qualify for the WWU Approved Driver list (no more than two moving violations within the past three years, no at-fault accidents within the past three years, age 21 )
- Ability to maintain valid certification as a bus driver according to state regulations.
