Requirements
The requirements for this position are as follows:
Responsibilities And Skills
- Perform collection, development and analysis of GIS and other technical data for research, modeling processes, and design.
- Develop hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) models for floodplain studies, flood mitigation, and drainage system design.
- Prioritize, plan, and execute responsibilities in a flexible manner according to project budgets, schedules, resources, client, and company needs.
- Collaborate effectively with a dynamic team, providing support, offering a positive attitude and a willingness to learn, be innovative and try new things.
- Assist with the development of project proposals, plans, and report deliverables.
- Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in civil, biosystems, environmental, or water resources or related engineering field.
- Strong technical learning ability, organizational, and communication skills
- Engineering Intern (EI) certification preferred.
- 0-5 years of related experience.
- Registration as a Certified Floodplain Manager is a plus.
- Working knowledge of any of the following is a plus: HEC-RAS 1D/2D, HEC-HMS, ArcMap or ArcGIS Pro; closed sewer system modeling applications such as PCSWMM, InfoWorks ICM, StormCAD, or CivilStorm; and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
