Job Overview
The Foreman leads and supervises a crew through a given day’s work. The Foreman receives a daily schedule from the Operations Director or Managers and ensures that the daily tasks have been executed throughout the day.

Responsibilities

  • Must possess the ability to be an independent leader
  • Shadows a foreman or Lead foreman for a minimum of 90 days and or has outside experience that qualifies for this position
  • Must be able to independently receive a contract and deliver or pick up successfully as needed on a regular basis with other crew members
  • Can independently direct the installation and spray out of any frame tent up to 20’ wide
  • Can independently direct the installation and spray out of any single pole tension tent up to 40’ wide
  • Must hold or obtain a valid driver’s license prior to employment start date
  • Must be able to safely haul trailer
  • Participates in weekend event checks and on call program
  • Participates in the event staff program
  • Maintains and services standing tents during inclement weather as needed up to and including nights and weekends
  • Accurately communicates daily tasks and expectations to the assigned field crew in a “daily huddle” at the beginning of the day
  • Follows project plans and field diagrams to execute accurate job set up
  • Supervises packing of appropriate equipment and vehicles in the morning to have all necessary tools at each job site
  • Supervises daily operations of assigned field crew throughout the day
  • Has detailed knowledge of field procedures and equipment and can communicate this knowledge to crew members
  • Ensures that work remains on schedule and communicates any necessary changes or delays to Operations
  • Uses appropriate tools and equipment to construct temporary field structures
  • Manages and cares for assigned vehicles, equipment, and other company property at the job site
  • Ensures that safety protocols are practiced at the job site while providing a constant example of safe conduct
  • Ensures that all equipment is kept to a high standard including greasing Tent OXs before use and all vehicles are cleaned out at the end of each day.
  • Supports customer satisfaction whenever possible; ensures the quality of work and service at the job site
  • Demonstrates strong communication skills with clients and internal team members
  • Maintains a professional and positive attitude at all times while working with customers and crewmembers
  • Demonstrates ability to train team members
  • Demonstrates ability to lead multiple team members on a job site
  • Demonstrates ability to hold team members accountable
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Management Staff

Requirements

A driver’s license is required for this position and must be able to meet our vehicle operator insurance requirements. Must be able to supervise employees. Due to seasonal changes in our volume of business, this position requires flexibility and the willingness to assist in other areas of Wallace Events’ operations not specifically outlined in this document. Must be able to maintain a professional appearance and basic hygiene standards during work hours., as well as be able and willing to drive large tow-behind trailer units. Dependability and timeliness are necessary for success in this position.
