Salary Range: $80,000 - $105,000 annually
Experience and Qualifications: We are seeking a full-time Landscape Architect to join our landscape architecture team. An ideal candidate shall have a bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture and be a licensed landscape architects in the State of California (or eligible for reciprocity) with five (5) or more years of experience in a similar firm setting. The ideal candidate shall exhibit working proficiency using AutoCAD, LandFX, Bluebeam, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SketchUp, Photoshop, and InDesign. The ideal candidate should exhibit critical and creative thinking, technical and conceptual design, have positive work habits and the ability to work within a collaborative team environment.

Duties: A Landscape Architect helps the Department by successfully accomplishing the following duties:
- Take responsible role in the design and management of projects and tasks and be able to manage the team budget of tasks and take ownership of work products in a timely manner.
- Exhibit a basic understanding of interdisciplinary relationships in projects.
- Assist Director and Senior Landscape Architects with design decisions and viable project solutions.
- Have regular interaction with client/agency on project level and assist with client/agency communications.
- Understand overall project objectives for medium to large projects of increasing complexity.
- Understand the relationship of assigned tasks to overall project objectives for larger and more complex projects.
- Be the decision maker for viable solutions from the Design Team and be able to coordinate production of complex plan sets across disciplines and with subs.
- Able to assist and coordinate production of multiple graphic exhibits, including plan renderings, sections, perspectives, and design image boards and assist with QA/QC of these items.
- Have increased proficiency with applying a variety of AutoCad & Land FX standards.
- Proficient in applying department and industry standards and criteria and begin to offer suggestions for adapting and creating new standards and criteria for the department.
- Participate in company-wide efforts such as training, development of standards, mentoring, and assisting staff with design solutions.
- Increased proficiency in preparing technical specifications, and a general knowledge of construction general conditions, and “front-end” contract documents and able to assist with preparation of Measurement and Payment definitions.
- Perform QA/QC on specific task elements in area of competency.
- Provide input to Director for department marketing strategies/business plan action items.
- Assist with business development and with client relationships, generally understand scope relationships between disciplines, and assist with preparing draft scope descriptions and budgets for multiple tasks in area of competency.
