We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for their dining experience. Your primary responsibility will be to greet guests warmly, manage reservations, and ensure a smooth flow of service in our restaurant. Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant with a warm and friendly demeanor.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize guest flow.
- Communicate wait times accurately and provide updates to guests as needed.
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the host/host area.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service delivery.
- Bus tables and run food as needed.
- Table maintenance as needed.
- Handle guest inquiries and complaints with professionalism, ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Utilize POS systems, such as SQUARE and YELP, for managing reservations and processing orders when necessary.
- Uphold high standards of guest relations by providing exceptional service throughout the dining experience.
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when answering calls for reservations or inquiries.
Requirements
- Previous experience in customer service or food service is preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with guests and team members.
- Familiarity with restaurant operations and hospitality standards is a plus.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Proficient in using POS systems; experience with Aloha POS is advantageous.
- A positive attitude and a commitment to providing outstanding guest services are essential.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by the restaurant's schedule.
