Salary Range: $50.00 - $59.00
Description
The Regional and Intermodal Planning Division (RIPD) is responsible for long range system planning and coordination of the MDOT SHA Transporation program with local and regional transportation plans and programs. Regional Planners complete a variety of tasks on a daily basis.
The duties and responsibilities for consultant staff will focus on but are not limited to:
- Document review of traffic impact studies, excess property requests and comprehensive plans.
- Coordination for Scenic Byway signage projects.
- Developing briefing materials for Consolidated Transportation Program (CTP) tours and as requested by senior managers.
- General coordination with countries and attendance at meeting with local governments, metropolitan planning organizations, and internal MDOT SHA HQ offices as needed.
- Review and draft responses for CCMS and structure reviews for long-range planning impacts and bike/ped accommodations.
- Assist with feasibility studies as assigned.
- Conduct GIS analysis as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree Required
- Master's degree preferred
- At least 10 years of experience
Salary : $50 - $59
