Traffic Design Engineers I: Fairfax, VA: Uses engineering problem solving and design skills and insights to understand and better identify topographic survey and traffic control device conditions to properly implement solutions to improve conditions pertaining to design standards and guidelines. Uses learned problem solving and analysis skills and insights to collect, obtain and understand traffic data and use engineering solutions to develop countermeasures that are reviewed by a professional engineer. Qualifications
Strongly Preferred:

Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering

Engineering in Training (EIT) certification

Computer Skills: Exposure to Microstation, ProjectWise, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office programs, HCS, Synchro/SimTraffic, VISIO, SIDRA, VISSIM

Excellent problem-solving, oral and written communication skills

Familiarity with local, state and federal engineering requirements, specifications and guidelines
