What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pre-K Assistant Teacher position at Wallburg Academy?
Responsibilities:
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for toddlers and preschool-aged children
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum and lesson plans
- Create engaging activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Manage behavior effectively using positive reinforcement techniques
- Collaborate with parents to ensure the well-being and development of each child
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in early childhood education or related field preferred
- Previous experience working with toddlers, preschoolers, or children with autism is highly desirable
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues
- Ability to create a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment for young children
- Patience, flexibility, and adaptability in meeting the diverse needs of children
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Clear background check
