Compliance Manager - Americas

Wallenius Wilhelmsen Group of Companies is seeking a dedicated Compliance Manager to join our Global Compliance team with focus on the Americas region. In this pivotal role, you will provide comprehensive compliance services to various departments, ensuring that our ethical standards are upheld across the organization. What You’ll Do
As Compliance Manager, you will work closely with the SVP, Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer to develop and manage a holistic and comprehensive compliance program for the WalWil group of companies in the Americas region.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Proactively support and advise Management and its business units on all compliance-related matters, aligning with our strategic goals and objectives.
- Develop, execute, and follow up on a group-wide compliance training program and maintain relevant training records.
- Support management in all compliance policies and procedures, including maintaining existing and creating new policies.
- Manage alerts received the company’s whistleblower channel and address any compliance concerns, promoting a culture of transparency and accountability.
- Occasionally travel to deliver face-to-face, engaging, and informative compliance training sessions to teams around the globe.
- Conducting integrity due diligence on new business partners to ensure we conduct business with reputable companies whose ethical standards are aligned with ours
- Master’s degree within law, HR, finance or related field.
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience with compliance related work or similar in / with international businesses
EVEN BETTER IF YOU HAVE
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to navigate complex organizational structures effectively.
- A self-motivated approach, with the capability to independently achieve business objectives while contributing to the corporate strategic vision.
- Knowledge of compliance management, including competition compliance, sanctions and export control, data privacy, and anti-bribery and anti-corruption compliance.
- Ability to critically analyze information and communicate with relevant internal and external parties
