As a Legal Counsel at Wallenius Wilhelmsen, you will be responsible for managing legal matters related to transportation law and general commercial matters. You will work closely with our business teams to provide proactive commercial law advice and counsel for the Wallenius Wilhelmsen Group of Companies within the Americas and EMEA regions.
Job Description:WHAT YOU'LL DO
In this role, you will collaborate with the Commercial team to interpret, review, negotiate, draft, and analyze commercial agreements, and design and implement legal risk mitigation strategies. You will provide sound advice and counsel on a broad range of transportation law matters on a domestic and global scale.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in transportation and commercial law, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Multi-state and international transportation law experience is beneficial
- 2-5 years of transportation law experience at a law firm or in-house legal department or equivalent experience
- Effective communicator with the ability to establish and maintain relationships with clients, coworkers, and colleagues
- Analytical skills: identify legal issues from facts, apply the law and draw conclusions
