This role will be part of the Terminal Operative team assisting in the unloading, receiving and movement of cargo within the Terminal, also the loading and discharge of cargo on vessels.

This role will be part of the Terminal Operative team assisting in the unloading, receiving and movement of cargo within the Terminal, also the loading and discharge of cargo on vessels.
Responsibilities
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Driving vehicles delivered by rail & road to designated compounds within the Port Estate of Southampton
- Preparing/concluding the rail operation including WIA operations, Forklift dutie and Connecting/disconnecting the electrical supply to the train
- Ensuring accurate scanning of all vehicles using the Terminal Operating system iTOMS
- Scanning vehicles through photo booth as well as carrying out visual checks for any damage and reporting through the correct channels.
- Moving of High and Heavy units including plant, static and breakbulk cargo
- Ensure all work carried out to required standard as per department SOP's
- Assist in other areas of the terminal activities within skills level as and when required

- Full clean driving license (essential)
- Forklift license (desirable)
